Bailee wanted me to make a princess cake for her 5th birthday. Last year for her 4th birthday I attempted the princess castle cake. That was not fun but it turned out pretty good for a beginner. The princess cake was not easy either. Baking the cake was easy. Decorating was a nightmare!! It all started when I decided to put the barbie in the cake to decorate. The doll Bailee chose was a ballerina, meaning her feet bend. When I put her in the cake the cake started to crack. Luckily for me I was able to repair the damage. The cake was not the prettiest princess cake I have ever seen but to Bailee it was and that is all that mattered. Next year I hope she asks for something simple like a sheet cake with purple roses! That I can do!
